WHY KELLEY & HALL?
With over 200,000 books published each year and the impact
of the fast-growing self-publishing industry, the amount
of publicity devoted to each individual title is not evenly
distributed. Most in-house publicity departments have a
limited number of resources and are overworked and
undersourced, making it increasingly difficult to keep up
with the demand. Many seek outside sources for additional
help.

That's where we come in.

We have created a company that focuses strictly on helping
authors get more media attention and building an author
"brand.”

What we want to do at Kelley & Hall is help talented
authors who deserve the attention, get the attention.

We provide our clients energy, enthusiasm and originality
in the tactics we use to plant the seeds today for future
media coverage and increased sales of your book. A recent
Nielson BookScan study showed that only 7% of ISBNs in 2004
sold more than 1000 units. We aim to help our authors beat that
statistic--translating increased visibility into sales.

We see to it that every piece of material that promotes
your book--from the press release to promotional materials
to the individualized media queries--receives the extra time
and attention that will help hook the media. By drawing on
our backgrounds in journalism, we work hand in hand with authors
to create timely article ideas around your work and experience.

Our tireless and enthusiastic approach to publicity has
garnered praise from editors, in-house publicists and agents
alike. We are on a mission to get every book and every author
we work with the attention they deserve.

PRAISE FOR KELLEY & HALL
"If you're not patting yourselves on the back by now, you should be."

--Brunonia Barry, author of The Lace Reader

"Working with Kelley and Hall on the publication of my novel 'Still Summer' was both a personal pleasure and a professional delight. It was the first time that I had employed an 'outside' publicist and could not have been more pleasantly surprised. They helped to secure major magazine essay assignments to coincide with publication and reviews for the novel, were wise in the ways of social marketing, cooperated beautifully with the publicists at Warner Books/Grand Central and maintained an atmosphere of cheer and optimism throughout. Their ideas for promotions and 'new angles' were fabulous. Whether you are a beginning writer or seasoned professional, I would not hesitate to recommend Kelley and Hall's energetic professionals as part of your publication team."
