YEH HELL OW

Humor, hatred, confusion, ignorance and pain rupture a narrative that stresses there is no place for the sensitive and stupid in tis world set in the 1970’s.

Judith Emanuel’s debut “novel” YEH HELL OW is a voice driven fictionalized memoir racing through elements of fabulism, blending the real and the invented. With glee she sidesteps the traditional rules of fiction. She dabbles in abstractions, the counterintuitive and unorthodox logic writing the portrait of herself as a girl composed of fictions.

Judith Emanuel has written a thoroughly imaginative novel, saturated with smart and brave prose. Fans of genre bending story telling will love YEH.HELL.OW. Hold onto your hats, you are in for a miraculous ride. – Marcia Butler – author of ‘Pickle’s Progress’ and ‘The Skin Above My Knees.’
